Hope everyone stays warm🐻‍❄️ This winter is so cold, so much snow!

I still remember the moment when my grandpa taught me that every snowflake has their own shape and none of them are the same - I think I was 3 or 4 years old then.

I was overwhelmed by imagining the dizzying numbers of snowflakes and the mystery of nature.

Everytime I touch the snow, I think of this fact and feel honored to touch a snowflake whose shape exists only once in the world.

I have some new designs and wanted to share them with you here - Winter is the best season to get a tattoo!

I just wanted to thank you so much for your support and love this year.

A lot happened in 2025 to me too - two amazing tattoo artists joined to my private studio in L.I.C and it is called Studio Hari now. I started to teach tattooing there too.

Also I started a weekend pop-up tattoo shop at Kida NYC in Nolita.

I love creating special tattoos with you so much. Every conversation, every smile and moment makes me feel the beauty of life. Thank you for finding and trusting me to tattoo you and share your world. I am so grateful to be a little part of your journey.

Everyone says the tattoo industry has been so slow lately - but I am so fortunate to see all my clients who still came to me and are truly connected with my art. We have something very important in common, it’s so beautiful to feel that.

Thank you very much for understanding my art and finding meaning in it.

I hope I can see you in 2026 too:)

It's already September- my favorite month. I love the color of sky in this season. I feel like there are many clear prisms in the air and it gives me hopes and dreams again!

I just came back from Japan about 2 weeks ago. I spent a lot of time with my parents and my 95 year old grandma in my hometown this trip. Also I could take my kids to the parks/public pools and stores etc that I used to go when I was kid - it was so nice to show them my childhood surroundings.

We didn’t do many big things there this time, instead I caught up with my parents, hung out with old friends, and my kids and husband enjoyed daily life in Tokyo. It was so peaceful and meaningful.

And now I am fully charged up and so excited to back to tattooing my studio!

As you know, summer is a tricky time to get a tattoo because of the aftercare, right?

So fall is a great time to get tattoos! ;P

So much rain lately, hope you are doing well:)

Personally, I love rainy days. I love the smell of rain and its quiet feeling- it always reminds me of my hometown. Tokyo is humid all year around, the smell of wet asphalt and heavy air, little bit of green in rainy day- it’s a beautiful mix to me.

Ok, I have some news here!

Many of you guys know I have a private studio in L.I.C, NY.

I share this space with my spouse Ben (He is a painter), and we have more tattoo artists here with us now.

Chu (@chu.tattoos), is a tattoo artist that had a short term private tattoo space with me in Manhattan in 2023 is coming back here.

And Mel (@smellanie.jpg) and Rachel (@rraeink) are joining us too!

We all used to work at the same shops in last few years. This is our 3rd place to work together.

They are truly amazing and funny, talented artists.

I am so excited to work with them again! Our studio name is Studio Hari (Hari means needle in Japanese). Please follow us ig @studiohari.nyc

We are planning to have fun events in the future too.

Japanese language class, book club (Mel is a book nerd), anime events, Pokemon card trading day, drawing day, Sake night etc etc.

Studio Hari will be a fun place to hangout, please keep your eye on us!

My friends Meg and Shin own the cutest Barber shop in Nolita, Manhattan (ig@kidanyc) and my friend Hiroki (ig@hirokiotsukatattoo) and I are starting to work there for weekends.

Kida Salon has a small back room and I will be there!

You will love it here- full of beautiful plants and has a rustic vibe, surrounded by the restaurants/bars and cafes, galleries, cool stores etc.

This place is small, so I do only small tattoos here.

And I keep doing my big dark tats at my private studio in Queens for weekdays.

Kida Tattoo Parlor's official opening will be in early May.

But this coming weekend (26th, 27th), I want to have only my former clients- any small tattoos for $70.

I found small flower buds on branches on my way to work this morning. Each tiny red bud looked so vivid in the blue sky background. Spring is almost here, I can’t wait for this beautiful season (and also ordered my allergy pills ;) !

April 2nd, 3rd and 4th, I will be guesting at Yarrow Studio, Brooklyn.

Yarrow Studio is the coolest tattoo studio in Greenpoint. My private studio is very close to them but since my tattoo mom buddy Celeste works there and I miss working with other amazing artists, I am grabbing the chance to guest there. I am so lucky and so excited!
